torn
A while ago, in March 2007, when I was back in Newton for a week, Dana and I had been driving around and went back to her house, and all along the road there were torn halves of photographs, going along for probably 300 feet. A lot of them were wet and dirty. Some were in and under the bushes in front of Dana's yard. There were probably a few hundred pieces, but not all of them had both halves (or at least I couldn't find them), and there were lots of duplicates. I can't figure out why somebody tore all of these photos in half and (likely) threw them out of a car window as they drove by, since it's not just pictures of a couple or family, and so it doesn't seem like something done because of a break-up or fight. Some of the photos seem much older than others. It just seems like a box of photos that wasn't wanted anymore--but then why destory them all before getting rid of them? Anyways, I thought they were pretty amazing.
